SportSide Medical’s Therapy Placement Service sends fully trained medics directly to your bench so your athletes never compete without expert medical support. Drawing on experience at the Olympic Games, Pan Ams, and provincial championships, our medics arrive game-ready with the equipment, emergency protocols, and sport-specific know-how to manage injuries, guide return-to-play, and keep teams performing at their peak. From a single weekend tournament to a full season of coverage, we handle recruitment, vetting, scheduling, and supplies so you can focus on the scoreboard—confident that world-class care is only steps away.

On-site Medical Coverage

SportSide Medical Services delivers expert medical support wherever your team competes—field-side, rink-side, court-side, pool-side, and beyond—backed by a network of over 180 medical professionals across Ontario. As Certified Emergency Care Instructors with the Canadian Red Cross, we train and certify Emergency Sports Professional Responders (Professional Responders) and seamlessly integrate them into your season-long roster or game-by-game assignments.

Certification Process

​To ensure the highest standard of care, every SportSide Medic completes:

​

  • A prerequisite Professional Responder certification or holds a Regulated Health Care Professional designation

  • The comprehensive 40-hour Emergency Sports Professional Responder course (details on our Courses page)

  • A standardized written and practical examination

  • Hands-on shadowing with an experienced Professional Responder

  • Specialized athletic and clinical taping training

  • Any additional courses or certifications required by your organization for full-season placements

 

Only once all requirements are met do we place a certified trainer or therapist with your team, guaranteeing reliable, professional support at every event.​
